Between Pentecost and consummation

This book, as the Church Father, Origen, said many centuries ago, is meant for “the ordinary people”. It is a Bible study for those who are prepared to dig somewhat deeper than the surface.
The purpose of the last 23 books of the New Testament is not so much to provide us with new facts (kerugma), but rather to teach us (didache) the meaning, the implications, of these facts. Therefore the challenge with the last 23 books of the Bible is not simply to start with the facts, but to deal directly with the meaning, the message and often with the relationship between the messages of that book. This is the focus of this book.
